omg. what the hell did i just played? is this even CNC?
let me first say that I’ve been a fan of CNC since i touched CNC1, and i’ve played every single series out there ever since, (including red alert series, heck i even have the first decade) and quite frankly, this is the WORST piece of crap outta the whole tiberium saga, if not the entire CNC series.
No more harvesting of tiberium. instead, u get 50 command points (something like pop caps), up to u to mix and match units.
3 types of MCVs. offense, defense and support. each mcvs provides its own units/vehicles/structures. Upgrades are shared i believed.upgrade points are earned by little specks of tiberian littered around the map for your units to pick up. =.=
Get this, You can only control ONE MCV AT ALL TIMES. If you need to use another type, you have to destroy the first one to deploy the other. This is all fine and dandy, until u realised that the enemy (in campaign) can deploy 2-3 MCVs to hammer the shit outta you. Oh and did i tell u they are mobile?!!?!?
Storyline starts out fine until like the 3rd mission, when suddenly you are forced to make a decision THAT SHOULDN’T EVEN BE THERE.
It was an utterly HUH?! WTF?? moment. I play games for the story, and throughout the CNC saga, it always seem to possess an interesting cast of characters and plot. Hence this was one of the core reason why i banished it to hell.
It is ok to try something new, but seriously EA, wtf?! u are trying and FAILING. FAILING GODDAMN HARD.
you have ruined good ol CNC already, but yet i’ve persevered due to my love for the series. but this! this is really adding insult to injury! the LAST of the tiberium saga man!!! IT DOES NOT DESERVE TO END LIKE THIS!
I just could not bear to complete this piece of crap. (and fyi, this is the ONLY cnc i’ve never completed.)
Thanks for ruining kane’s legacy EA. UP YOURS!

Well said, i played to the 5th mission and dropped the game, i expected a build base-build tons of units-destroy enemies type of game but i got a crappy game with units that die fast.
its not even balanced right.

Yeah, played three missions, on the fourth I couldent take more of the crap. “exit”, and from the mission summary they forgot to add an back button to get back to the menu (and guit the game) but they have the next button there.. just to watch the next piece of gay porn scene before you are allowed to quit. Seems like a patched up shitcake

In C&C 4 the goal is to spam the shit out of your MCV

@Eddy
oh and the C&C games in The first Decade are the best of the series… i think C&C 3 tiberium wars is good but… not as cool as the old ones…

got to agree with u here, got 4 missions in and am totally disapointed with this game… a hud that is unusable, missions that havent had any thought go into them, combat that is majorly flawed due to the total lack of units available. and as for the MCV and resource systems in place… dont even get me started! total FAIL.

I bought it in good hopes, cause buying a command & conquer game in the past was a solid thing…
BUT THIS TIME I have a piece of crap named “C&C4:Tiberian Twilight” here in my beloved game collection. Why do developers put so much work into something that cannot be successful, because it is obvious that fans won’t like it…
Every gamer knows what makes a good C&C series game, but just not the developers?!? Or what? The f**** it up, and took out all the thing that made C&C. If at least the effects where as good as those in World in Conflict. But no way… And I even bought that fail… hell!

I have been perserving for a few days now, and boy am I upset.
Forget normal, forget hard its hard enough on easy….which is laughable, every other c&c title has been done on hard all the way with every objective done and an efficiency over 2:1 ratio
Its not 3rd mission its the 6th mission on wards, 3 tutorials then 3 main plots, then its just stupid with the points above mentioned one mcv? jeez, pop cap? jeez….since when has this been c&c? did the usa army cap themselves when they fight? hell no, its just a pile of crap, I will do it on easy just to see the fmv but no more after that, and believe it or not the defence mcv is the strongest in terms of units and structures, mainly because the units cost in cp is low unlike sodding vehicles and air which cost 6 to 10….it would be fine if you could raise your cap like in other games….
rant over

Cool, I’m not the only one who uninstalled a game that, when I installed, I though it would be “Whoa! The fourth of the C&C series! Now I’m gonna have fun!”… But instead it went like “Whooa!! Look at that… Ok, first of all I’ll harvest tiberium like always! Oh, wait a minute… The units cost nothing? And there is a pop cap?! What the?! I must have chosen the wrong game option, let me see… Huh… Oh nice… WHERE IS THE COMMAND AND CONQUER?! WHY CAN’T I BUY MY BASE AND AN ARMY?!” *Uninstalled*”
-> Seriously, maybe my opinion isn’t worth a lot, but God! WHAT IS THIS?!

F#ck I’m so glad I’m not the only one. It made me want to low level Format my machine after installing dirty crap like that. Screw u EA, I’ll rather watch a chuck norris movie than play that sh1t again. Thanks for taking our money and making thousands of people vomit in their mouths.
